Features: During the writing process of this series, we have consistently adhered to six principles:
1. Seriously implement the spirit of the Third National Education Conference, deepen textbook reform, comprehensively promote quality education, implement the strategy of high-quality products, strengthen quality awareness, and strive to write high-quality postgraduate textbooks that reflect the advanced level domestically and meet the needs of advanced bone and trauma talent training in the 21st century;
2. Write according to the training objectives and requirements of postgraduate students in the bone and trauma specialty, while paying attention to maintaining the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine;
3. Fully reflect scientificity, advancement, systematicity, completeness, and practicality;
4. Pay attention to the depth and breadth of textbook content based on actual teaching needs and reflect the new level of development in bone and trauma science;
5. Avoid repetition and disconnection with undergraduate textbook content to ensure the implementation of the teaching plan for postgraduate students in the bone and trauma specialty;
6. Strive to achieve a reasonable overall structure of the textbook, strict connections, and logically rigorous content explanation to cultivate and improve students' theoretical knowledge level and research capabilities.
The content of this book is based on the fundamental theories, basic knowledge, and basic skills of experimental research in bone and trauma, and is written in line with the needs of modern development in traditional Chinese medicine bone and trauma. The book is divided into twelve chapters. The first four chapters mainly introduce the basic knowledge of experimental research in bone and trauma, the basic knowledge of research design in bone and trauma, the basic knowledge of commonly used animals in bone and trauma experiments, the basic knowledge of commonly used animal models, and research examples. The last eight chapters mainly introduce experimental research on light microscopic connective tissue, muscle tissue, cartilage, and bone tissue, the basic knowledge and experimental research of bone metabolism, the basic knowledge and experimental methods of tissue culture, experimental techniques of molecular biology of bone and cartilage, basic experimental techniques of immunological detection in bone and trauma, and the mechanisms of cellular signal transduction in bone tissue.
In the writing process, we followed the training objectives of postgraduate students in traditional Chinese medicine bone and trauma, striving to adapt to the education of traditional Chinese medicine in the 21st century. In terms of writing methods, we emphasized basic knowledge and basic skills, aiming to make it convenient for teaching and learning. When introducing various experimental instruments, methods, and techniques, corresponding illustrations are provided, and at the same time, cutting-edge research achievements from leading bone and trauma experimental schools are collected.
