Features: Yu Xining was born in Weixian, Shandong Province (now Weicheng District, Weifang City) in 1913. He graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of Xinhua Art College in Shanghai in his early years and was taught by Mr. Huang Binhong and Mr. Pan Tianshou. Later, he engaged in art education and Chinese painting creation for a long time. He has published large-scale art books, technical treatises, poetry collections, and other works. Currently, he is a professor, honorary president, member of the Chinese Artists Association, member of the Chinese Painting Research Institute, honorary president of the Shandong Literature and Art Federation, honorary president of the Shandong Artists Association, president of the Shandong Art Institute, and a member of the National People's Congress for seven consecutive terms.
