Features: In today's era of economic globalization and market internationalization, we have entered the age of life sciences, information technology, and the knowledge economy. Health inspection technology keeps pace with the rapid development of modern science, giving rise to new theories, new ideas, new technologies, and new methods, which provide extensive literature and innovative technical support for the book Modern Health Inspection. This book is compiled to better implement China's health laws, regulations, standards, specifications, and the health work guidelines of the new era, as well as the new opportunities and challenges faced by health inspection after China's entry into the WTO. The compilers and authors are scientific workers actively engaged in the fields of preventive medicine and health inspection, directly involved in practical work, experienced in teaching, scientific research, talent cultivation, and inspection positions. Among them are seasoned scientists, middle-aged scholars in their prime, as well as young scientific workers with outstanding talent and advanced degrees, bringing vitality to the book's compilation.
Modern science and technology are advancing at an unprecedented pace, and the rapid development of modern productivity inevitably brings about revolutionary changes in theory, methods, and technology. History has proven that the establishment of important theories and breakthroughs in major technologies stem from countless practices and significant technological revolutions. The development of modern science has led to the intersection, integration, and fusion of old and new disciplines. Only through the collaborative efforts of multiple disciplines can major technical challenges be effectively overcome.
Modern health inspection is a comprehensive discipline or interdisciplinary field that integrates multiple subjects such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, acoustics, optics, electricity, magnetism, nuclear science, mechanics, machinery, biomedical engineering, molecular biology, biotechnology, and computer science. It is a high-tech discipline that closely combines theory with application, representing the crystallization of the development of the aforementioned disciplines while also serving as an inexhaustible driving force to connect, promote, and advance the development of all disciplines.
However, the creation of any new technology is not something that falls from the sky. It is deeply rooted in practice and firmly inherits and inspires from existing scientific and technological achievements. Only in this way can true discoveries, inventions, creations, and progress be achieved, and only then can original results be produced. Therefore, the technical methods adopted in this book primarily come from China's national standards (GB) and specifications issued in recent years for health physics and health microbiology, as well as international standards (ISO) and some inspection methods and technologies from countries such as Europe, America, and Japan. At the same time, it introduces a large number of newly developed technologies and methods.
Science and technology are productive forces, a powerful driving force for the development of productive forces and social civilization. With the rapid growth of China's national economy, people's material and cultural living standards have greatly improved, and their demands for living environments, healthcare, and quality of life have become increasingly high. As the eyes and ears of public health service, health inspectors must have a sense of urgency to keep pace with the times, grasp the pulse of technological development, and achieve leapfrog development. For this reason, the book strives to introduce advanced technologies and methods to peers in a timely manner.
The book is divided into three parts, 18 chapters, 67 chapters, and 2 appendices. Part I is on physicochemical inspection, which includes 6 chapters and 26 chapters covering the inspection of physicochemical substances in food, functional food, new resource food, cosmetics, air, water, biomaterials, cosmetics, pesticides, and the inspection of dioxins in food. Part II is on microbiological inspection, which includes 5 chapters and 25 chapters covering basic microbial techniques and methods, bacteria, fungi, viruses, immunological techniques, molecular biology techniques, the inspection of various pathogens and health microorganisms, and especially introduces cutting-edge technologies such as gene chips, PCR, chemiluminescence, and automated microbial analysis, which have recently developed in modern molecular biology. Part III is on other health inspection technologies, which is also a very distinctive part of the book, divided into 7 chapters and 26 chapters covering environmental health, occupational health, external environment, border health quarantine, disinfection equipment and agents, medical and health supplies, drugs, planned immunity, food poisoning, and sterile inspection.
To ensure the quality of laboratory inspections, laboratory management and quality control are crucial, as quality is the lifeblood of inspection. The book also provides a special introduction to China's laboratory accreditation system and how to align with international standards, aiming to draw the attention of scientific workers in this field.
It is hoped that this book can meet the needs of health inspection teachers, researchers, inspectors, teachers, undergraduates, postgraduates, scientific and administrative workers in teaching, scientific research, and inspection practice. If it becomes the favorite of readers, we will be greatly delighted.
