The author systematically summarizes the sustainable development concepts of multinational companies from a theoretical perspective, integrating various concepts that are currently popular in society such as "corporate social responsibility," "sustainable development," and "corporate citizenship." It comprehensively reveals different levels of "corporate responsibility." At the same time, the book includes 15 case studies of multinational companies, describing their understanding and practice of the "corporate responsibility" concept, including many thought-provoking examples. The purpose of compiling this book is primarily to introduce readers to the movement to strengthen corporate responsibility that has emerged globally in recent years, understand how multinational companies enhance their soft competitiveness, and draw lessons from their experiences to strengthen the concept of corporate responsibility and accelerate the improvement of the soft competitiveness of Chinese enterprises. While introducing the practices of multinational companies in strengthening corporate responsibility, we also criticize some negative tendencies of multinational companies in weakening corporate responsibility in China. We hope that multinational companies in China can become role models for corporate responsibility, contributing to the growth of Chinese enterprises and the sustainable development of the Chinese economy.
