This catalog of calligraphy and paintings was likely compiled by officials who guarded the Shenyang Imperial Palace during the Qing Dynasty. It is divided into seven categories: volumes, scrolls, albums, scriptures, pieces, inscriptions, and couplets. Each category begins with imperial calligraphy and paintings, followed by works by masters from the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, anonymous artists, and skilled craftsmen. It provides detailed records of the works' names, materials, dimensions, inscriptions, previous collectors' annotations, and Qing court seals, as well as poems and seals left by the Qianlong Emperor. Today, this catalog of calligraphy and paintings is printed based on the original manuscript used to compile it in the National Library of China.
