Does the condom transmit AIDS?

Patient's question:

After the negative test, it appeared again after a few days with fever, but without any redness. During the ultrasound, the doctor forgot to change the condom. Will it transmit HIV?

Doctor's answer:

The contraception used for vaginal ultrasound can be visibly identified as used. Ultrasound doctors cannot reuse such items. It should be considered that your speculation might be wrong, and the ultrasound doctor may have already replaced it without your notice. If it hasn't been replaced, and it was used by a previous patient, it may still carry pathogens from that patient, posing a risk of transmission.
