Features: This textbook is developed in accordance with the "Basic Requirements for University Physics Experiment Teaching in Non-Physics Majors" formulated by the Non-Physics Majors Course Guidance Committee of the Ministry of Education in 2004. It draws on the research and reform achievements in the teaching content and curriculum systems of physics experiments in recent years both domestically and internationally. Additionally, it incorporates the research findings and scientific achievements in physics experiment teaching obtained by the Physics Department faculty of Beijing University of Science and Technology over eight years of building the Ministry of Education's Engineering Physics Foundation Course Base. The book is divided into seven chapters, including fundamental knowledge of physics experiments and experiments categorized by difficulty levels: basic experiments, comprehensive experiments, design experiments, and applied physics experiments. The textbook emphasizes independent experimentation and research-oriented thinking, providing detailed background introductions, basic principles, experimental setups, experimental procedures and operation steps, potential issues encountered during experiments, and research-oriented topics to expand on classroom experiments. This book can serve as a basic physics experiment teaching text or reference for engineering majors in higher education institutions, as well as for reference use by other disciplines.
