"The French Mastery Test Series" is a newly launched test collection in 2003 by France's CLE International, specifically designed for non-French speakers learning French. Its content is divided into three thematic sections: grammar, vocabulary, and culture. Each section is further divided into two levels: beginner and intermediate. Students can test their knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, and French culture through engaging exercises to achieve assessment goals. It serves as supplementary material, suitable for both classroom use and self-study. Each test book contains 10 chapters, with each chapter covering a relatively independent topic. Students can complete them in order or choose freely based on their needs. Every page includes a scoring record. Answers are provided at the end for self-grading, along with notes for reference.
One of the highlights of this test series is its emphasis on fun, with diverse question types and minimal mechanical drills. It also offers strong readability, with most questions constructed from everyday vocabulary, allowing learners to acquire vivid and authentic French through practice, thereby improving language expression skills. Some passages are filled with the traditional humor of the French nation, making them enjoyable to read.
