Is it easy to treat endometritis?

Patient's question:

Can endometritis be treated?

Doctor's answer:

Endometritis can be treated. Endometritis can be divided into tuberculous and non-tuberculous types, and it is a significant factor leading to infertility. Acute endometritis is often caused by cross-infection during childbirth or intrauterine and uterine surgery. If not treated promptly, it may become chronic. It is characterized by congestion, edema, and inflammatory exudate in the endometrium, and may even form ulcers. Common symptoms include increased vaginal discharge, purulent blood-like discharge with a foul odor, lower abdominal pain, and lower back pain. It can progress to conditions such as endomyometritis, tubo-ovarian abscess, pelvic peritonitis, pelvic connective tissue inflammation, sepsis, and bacteremia.
