Patient's question:
Treatment for fallopian tube hydropsDoctor's answer:
If the amount of fluid in the fallopian tube is relatively small, conservative treatment can be used. The treatment methods are the same as those for chronic tubo-ovarian inflammation, combining traditional Chinese and Western medicine approaches for syndrome differentiation and treatment. Internal medicine and external treatment methods can be used simultaneously. Sometimes, the fluid-filled fallopian tube is adhesed to the ovary and connected to the follicular cysts within the ovary, forming a tubo-ovarian cyst. If the amount of fluid in the fallopian tube is large or a significant tubo-ovarian cyst has formed, conservative treatment is generally ineffective, and surgical treatment should be considered. Fallopian tube fluid accumulation is often bilateral and rarely adheres to surrounding tissues. For younger patients with normal-looking ovaries, combined with fallopian tube and ovary adhesion, the fallopian tubes can be removed while preserving the ovaries.
