The General Theory provides an overview of the fundamentals of Traditional Chinese Medicine Pediatrics. The Specific Discussions on pediatric diseases are organized into the following sections: 【Overview】introducing the concept of the disease, incidence, the relationship between TCM and Western medicine names, etiology, and pathogenesis; 【Diagnostic Key Points】proposing the symptoms, signs, medical history, and physical examination findings for diagnosis; 【Syndrome Differentiation and Treatment】first discussing the key points of syndrome differentiation and treatment principles, then providing detailed treatments for each syndrome, including major syndromes, treatment methods, formulas, and modifications; 【Other Therapies】introducing practical proprietary Chinese medicines, simple and effective formulas, and external treatments for the disease. The dosage of Chinese medicinal herbs mentioned in the book, except for newborn conditions which are indicated as newborn dosages, generally refers to the dosage for children aged 6–12.
