Patient's question:
I have two close friends who are in their 30s, both of whom have developed candidiasis (yeast infection). One is more severe, while the other is milder. The one with the severe case now suffers from constant itching and pain every day. The one with the milder case has already recovered on their own with topical medication. How is candidiasis (yeast infection) formed?Doctor's answer:
Candidiasis vulvovaginitis is caused by poor hygiene habits or excessive vaginal scrubbing. 1. Alter the pH of the vagina, such as using alkaline drugs to scrub the vagina, or using a 2,4% soda solution to scrub the vagina to change the living environment of the fungus. 2. Administer antifungals: Nystatin (Nestatin) vaginal suppositories (containing 250,000 U of Nystatin) are inserted deep into the vagina, once in the morning and once in the evening, or once every night, for a total of 2 weeks.
