Features: China needs to cultivate a large number of talents to become a major tourist destination. To train well-rounded tourism professionals with broad cultural knowledge, strong innovative awareness, outstanding management and marketing skills, and sufficient development potential, it is impossible to bypass the training of writing disciplines that broaden reading horizons, exercise thinking skills, and improve language expression techniques. Tourism writing research is urgently needed for both the construction of tourism disciplines and the development of writing disciplines. For this reason, without overestimating our abilities and with the support of all parties, we have collectively compiled this "Tourism Writing." In this textbook, we attempt to establish a discipline system that progresses from basic tourism writing knowledge to applied writing and literary creation in a gradual and systematic manner. We have also made efforts to explore theoretical discussions in line with the practices of tourism writing in the new century and to establish the basic framework of a new generation of teaching materials. We strive to combine traditional and modern writing theories, clarify the fundamental principles, rules, and methods of tourism writing based on the actual needs of tourism professionals and readers, and guide learners to apply scientific theories to writing practice. Through the analysis of writing examples and writing exercises, we help readers improve their writing skills. We hope to compile a new type of textbook that is both profound and accessible, professional, practical, and highly operational.
