Features: This year marks the 80th anniversary of the second Sino-Communist cooperation and the 20th anniversary of Deng Xiaoping's complete proposal of the scientific concept of "One Country, Two Systems." From September 8 to 10, the China Society for Party History Studies, the First Research Department of the Research Institute of the Party History of the CPC Central Committee, and the Party History Research Office of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the CPC jointly held the "Historical Review of Sino-Communist Relations and the 'One Country, Two Systems' Theory Symposium" in Xi'an. This symposium received a total of 60 papers, including 31 on the historical review of Sino-Communist relations, 25 on "One Country, Two Systems," and 4 on other topics. The 60 papers came from various units in 19 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government, including the Central Government, Beijing, Tianjin, Chongqing, Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Anhui, Hunan, Hubei, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Henan, Gansu, Guangdong, and Hainan. After evaluation by the expert panel, 35 papers were selected for the symposium, including 19 on the historical review of Sino-Communist relations and 16 on "One Country, Two Systems." After the symposium, the authors further revised their papers and submitted them to us for collective publication. Adhering to the principles of "Let a hundred flowers bloom and let a hundred schools of thought contend" and "full responsibility for one's own writings," we generally only made some technical standardization adjustments to the selected articles during the editing process to maintain the overall style of the book as much as possible, such as using footnotes for all references and noting the authors' affiliations at the end of each paper, etc.
