Features: The Chinese-originated higher education self-study examination is both a national examination system and an educational form that combines individual self-study, social assistance, and national examination. Since its establishment in the early 1980s, it has enabled many self-study learners to obtain associate and bachelor's degrees. This tuition-free, widely adaptable, and high-quality "university without walls" has been well-received by society and has attracted global attention. To further improve it and help more citizens achieve their educational aspirations and career goals, the National Self-Study Examination Office has established the "Comprehensive Higher Education Self-Study Examination Help Network," aiming to provide authoritative and practical assistance to self-study learners through modern high-tech means. Since its launch, the network has been highly praised by. However, due to objective limitations, most candidates currently cannot access online tutoring but still urgently require assistance from the help network. Therefore, in response to their requests, we have further refined the teaching courses of the help network and compiled this series of "Help Books."
The fundamental purpose of this series is to assist candidates in their studies, and it aims to embody the following characteristics:
1. Understanding the Logical Framework and Mastering Study Methods
The key to mastering a subject lies in understanding its unique knowledge system and structure, forming a clear framework overall. On this foundation, basic facts and theories can be "inserted" in a way that makes learning comprehensible, memorable, and applicable. Additionally, within each subject, chapters are interconnected, and there are inherent links between it and related disciplines. Only by grasping these horizontal and vertical connections can one deepen understanding and achieve comprehensive mastery. Each subject has its own unique learning and research methods. Only by mastering these methods can one unlock the treasure trove of knowledge in that discipline, achieving both knowledge acquisition and ability development. Based on this guiding principle, the "Help Books" focus on guiding study methods and improving self-study skills.
2. Highlighting Key Points and Solving Doubts
When first encountering a subject, learners often struggle to identify key points and difficulties, leading to uneven effort and inefficiency. To address this, the "Help Books" clearly identify the key points of each subject and summarize frequently encountered questions during self-study, providing detailed explanations. Since these questions largely come from users of the help network, they are highly representative, and their answers will undoubtedly benefit self-study learners.
3. Combining Learning and Practice with Real-World Application
To excel in a course, learners must solve a certain number of practice questions, applying the knowledge gained through self-study to real-world problems. The "Help Books" select representative and versatile questions aligned with exam requirements, providing reference answers to help readers consolidate knowledge, deepen understanding, and master the practical application of theory.
To ensure the books are accessible, engaging, and effective, the "Help Books" are written concisely and clearly, with smooth and direct language and flexible formats suitable for self-study learners. Through these efforts, we hope to achieve the following goals:

With a foundation of prior knowledge and relevant background, learners can approach new material with deeper analysis, easing the challenges they face.
2. Expanding Depth of Understanding
When mastering a subject, learners should not just grasp superficial knowledge but also understand the reasoning behind fundamental theories and concepts, knowing both "what" and "why."
3. Achieving Excellence
Candidates should not only pass national exams and obtain diplomas but also acquire knowledge and develop abilities, thereby improving their personal qualities. This is the essence of higher education self-study examinations, and it is our ultimate goal in assistance.
We have strived to embody our principles, but success depends on the judgment of. We sincerely welcome every candidate to provide feedback and suggestions, allowing us to further refine our work and offer more practical and effective guidance.
As a worker in higher education self-study examinations, I have a duty to remind candidates not to rely solely on the "Help Books" without first studying the syllabus and textbooks. Relying solely on last-minute memorization of tutoring materials to pass exams is not advisable, as it has led many astray. "Guiding by the syllabus" is the fundamental principle that all self-study learners should follow.
