Yuan Shikai, this person, as long as you mention modern Chinese history, you cannot fail to mention him. He left dark records in Chinese history. After the bourgeois democratic revolution sowed the seeds of a democratic republic in the hearts of many Chinese people and began to sprout and take root, if there was still one person in China who wanted to dominate the world under one surname, then that person must be Yuan Shikai. Although until today, in the eyes of many people, Yuan Shikai's image is nothing more than the clanging Yuan Dadao! Yuan Shikai, styled Yueting, known as Ke'an, was from Xiangcheng, Henan, and was also known as Yuan Xiangcheng. Now, let us take a look at the life resume of this legendary figure who claimed to be a monarch but was "drowned" in the sputtering of the public!
Yuan Shikai was born into a bureaucratic landlord family. In his early years, he was frustrated and unsuccessful, wandering around and drifting far and wide. Driven by the desire to rise above the rest, he decided to join the army and threw himself under the command of Wu Changqing, the leader of the Huai Army, serving as an assistant to the camp affairs office of the Qing Army. In 1882, a "mutiny" occurred in Seoul, Korea. Yuan Shikai, as the commanding officer of the forward camp affairs office, followed Wu Changqing into Korea and assisted the Korean king in suppressing the mutiny. When Wu Changqing returned to China, Yuan Shikai took over as the head of the Qing Army's Qing character camp. In 1885, he remained in Korea due to the reason of "stationing in Korea to handle diplomatic and commercial affairs." In 1894, amidst the storm and darkness, just before the Opium War. Yuan Shikai requested to be transferred back to China and was granted the "mercy" of being appointed as the Zhejiang Wen Chu Tao and assigned to the military affairs bureau.
