How should cervical erosion be treated?

Patient's question:

Why do young women get gynecological diseases? Recently, I've been feeling vaginal itching, increased discharge, and a strong odor down there. Sometimes during my period, I feel a slight lower abdominal heaviness. Have I developed cervical erosion? How should cervical erosion be treated?

Doctor's answer:

If cervical erosion does not accompany other conditions such as precancerous lesions of the cervix, it can be left untreated. Only irregular follow-up tests are required. However, symptoms like vaginal itching and excessive leukorrhea may indicate vaginitis, and further tests such as a routine leukorrhea examination and a cervical TCT anti-aging screening should be considered. If precancerous lesions of the cervix are present, vaginal suppositories may be necessary. In severe cases, a conization surgery may be required, and after treatment, the leukorrhea should stabilize relatively.
