Can cervical erosion recur and still be treated?

Patient's question:

I previously had cervical erosion and have been completely cured through hospital treatment. However, recently I've been feeling particularly painful. After a thorough examination at the hospital, the doctor said that my cervical erosion has recurred and advised me to seek immediate treatment at the hospital. I'm worried it might not be treatable. I'd like to ask the doctors here if recurrent cervical erosion can still be cured?

Doctor's answer:

Cervical erosion-like changes can be physiological or pathological. It is recommended that you first go to a regular hospital for careful examinations such as colposcopy, cervical secretion tests, and routine leukorrhea tests. If it is confirmed to be pathological, you can focus on taking medication or undergoing surgical treatment. If it is physiological, there is no need to take medication. If pathological cervical erosion occurs, surgical treatment can be focused on to cure it. You don't need to worry too much. In fact, having cervical erosion is not something to be afraid of. Patients should believe that they can overcome the illness. As long as symptoms are detected in time and symptomatic treatment is provided, the chances of controlling the condition and recovering are very high.
