Features: The times are advancing, and humanity is progressing. The tide of reform has presented a brand-new China to the world. With the rapid development of economic construction, cultural undertakings are also booming. Many wise people are thinking, exploring, summarizing, and improving. In academic research, academic thought has never been more vibrant, with various schools of thought displaying a dazzling array of ideas, truly ushering in a spring of blooming flowers. The essence of the difference between humans and animals lies in the fact that humans have thoughts; the reason why human society has developed to where it is today is still because humans have thoughts. If people are not good at summarizing experience, perfecting themselves, or changing their environment, then today, humans might still be crawling in the dark, living in a state of horticulture. Looking back at China's five thousand years of history, we see that the sages and philosophers of each dynasty have used their mighty pens to write the history of Chinese academic thought through theoretical discussions and academic debates. Since the reform and opening-up, China has once again surged in the wave of learning from the West. Many people have studied management, science, and technology from the West. We know that today's society is an era of ever-emerging new things and new knowledge. A person who is not good at learning cannot become a talent, and a nation that is not good at learning will find it even harder to stand among the world's nations. Now, the Party Central Committee requires us to build a learning society, and the fundamental purpose of this is to adhere to the scientific outlook on development, keep pace with the steps of the times, and cultivate a new generation of socialist successors. At this time, we are publishing this series, "New Century Collection of Scholarly Writings," with the primary goal of contributing to the creation of a learning society, making the atmosphere of learning stronger, making the saying "Live and learn" a norm for people's actions, and making learning an indispensable part of everyone's life. Today, more than two decades after the reform and opening-up, and after China's entry into the WTO, our national strength has become even stronger, the country is more open, and various academic research endeavors are also thriving. I believe that the prosperity of academic achievements is also imminent. In recent years, our publishing house has done some work in promoting academic research achievements, but it is not enough. The second purpose of launching this series, "New Century Collection of Scholarly Writings," is to publish the high-level academic achievements of some scholars and contribute them to society, with the hope that more scholars will liberate their minds, dare to innovate, be people-centered, and be willing to contribute, so that they can produce more and better academic achievements, free the academic flower from the scholars' study, and let it bear fruit in the vast garden of society, thereby benefiting humanity.
