Features: To meet the growing demands of English teaching and learning in Chinese secondary schools, and to facilitate intermediate-level English learners in understanding the original meanings of English vocabulary, as well as gradually mastering the higher-level linguistic skill of English thinking through the comparison of Chinese and English definitions, we have compiled the Comprehensive English-Chinese Bilingual Dictionary. The features of the dictionary's word selection are: a clear and concise scope, with a relatively large number of entries among similar dictionaries; bilingual English-Chinese definitions, with brief and easy-to-understand English explanations; typical and precise English examples or sentences in the definitions, with accurate and standardized Chinese translations. The dictionary also provides targeted solutions for the difficulties intermediate-level English learners may encounter, with carefully designed columns for synonyms, near-synonyms, and language background knowledge, aimed at reminding users to focus on key points. The appendices of the dictionary consist of five parts: Irregular Verbs, Common English Names, Common World Geographical Names, Number Expression Methods, and Measurement Tables.
