Based on the actual situation of Chinese students, this manual combines new findings from foreign language teaching methods research with successful experiences accumulated over many years in China's foreign language teaching. It aims to improve students' fundamental knowledge and skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing by integrating language training into real-life communicative contexts. The goal is to enable students to learn basic language knowledge and skills through communication, apply them in practice, and gradually meet the requirements of the teaching syllabus for language communicative competence. The book is divided into two parts. Part one provides specific teaching procedures and methods for the six lessons of the pronunciation course, while also summarizing the difficulties and challenges Chinese students face in learning German pronunciation. It explains how Chinese or English pronunciation interferes with the production of certain sounds in each lesson and suggests methods to overcome these interferences and achieve correct pronunciation. Given that the training of pronunciation and intonation cannot be conducted in isolation, students must imitate the pronunciation and intonation of native German speakers. Through repeated practice of listening, speaking, reading, and writing in simple communicative scenarios, students can truly master the rules of German pronunciation and intonation, ensuring correct sounds and natural intonation. Therefore, we strongly emphasize the importance of paying attention to and strengthening imitation exercises using recordings of native German speakers, integrating the training of pronunciation and intonation into all aspects of teaching.
