Civil Code of the People's Republic of China

Author: General Administration of Customs, Policy and Regulations Department
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2005-09-01
Features: This book compiles the current effective laws, administrative regulations, regulations of the General Administration of Customs, and regulatory documents issued by the General Administration of Customs in the form of announcements, thereby dividing the book into four parts: Laws, Administrative Regulations, Regulations of the General Administration of Customs, and Other Regulatory Documents. The book includes a total of 242 regulations as of June 2005. To facilitate readers in locating regulations by the number of the General Administration of Customs order and to enable readers to search for General Administration of Customs announcements by main content, we have compiled two indexes: the Index of General Administration of Customs Orders and the Index of General Administration of Customs Announcements. The Index of General Administration of Customs Orders starts from Order No. 1 of the General Administration of Customs and lists all regulations and administrative regulations issued in the form of orders up to the present. Before the promulgation of the "Legislation Law of the People's Republic of China," the administrative regulations of the General Administration of Customs were issued to the public in the form of orders of the General Administration of Customs approved by the State Council. Therefore, the Index of General Administration of Customs Orders includes not only the regulations of the General Administration of Customs but also a small number of administrative regulations. Since the General Administration of Customs announcements do not have titles, it is difficult to determine their content solely from the number. Therefore, we have compiled the Announcement Index to correspond the number of the announcement with its main content for easy retrieval. Additionally, both indexes provide annotations in the remarks section regarding revisions, cancellations, and invalidation.
