Features: This dictionary is designed for use by primary school teachers and students. It focuses on helping readers find appropriate measure words when describing people or things, as well as understanding common collocations and usage of concrete and abstract nouns. The dictionary lists nouns as entries, including 1,160 common concrete and abstract nouns. After the pinyin pronunciation of each entry, parentheses generally provide common collocations for that noun. When multiple collocations exist, they are separated by a space, and below them, the term "measure words" is listed, followed by individual measure words, collective measure words, measure words for quantity, and temporary measure words. When multiple measure words are listed, they are separated by commas. Nouns that can only be paired with "," "," "," or "," such as "country," "impression," or "apple," are generally not included. For certain nouns, such as names of plants or animals, only the most common and frequently used ones are included, and the principle of "categorization" is appropriately applied, or only the generic names are listed. For example, only "tree" is listed, and the measure words applicable to "tree" are also applicable to "pine tree," "ginkgo tree," etc. Nouns like "pine tree," "ginkgo tree," etc., are not listed as separate entries. However, some nouns, such as "pine," "green pine," or "white poplar," are frequently used in literary metaphors. For the convenience of readers, these entries are still included, and after the "Usage" note, the phrase "See 'tree' on page 220" is added. The same applies to others. Entries are arranged in the order of Pinyin letters, with Pinyin pronunciations provided for each entry. Light tones are not marked with tone marks. The measure words listed for each entry are designed to align with social conventions and rhetorical needs. Measure words that can only be preceded by the numeral "" or demonstrative pronouns "" and "" are noted in parentheses. Measure words that can only be preceded by the numeral "" are noted in parentheses. This dictionary provides exemplary usage examples for each noun and its applicable measure words, demonstrating the active use of the measure word in a sentence, marked with the term "Usage." Difficult characters in the main body of the dictionary are provided with Pinyin pronunciations in parentheses. At the beginning of the main body of the dictionary, there is an "Index of Terms in Pinyin Order," and at the end of the main body, there is an "Overview of Noun-Measure Word Combinations."
