Features: With the rapid development of modern science and technology, the ever-evolving network, communication, and digital products have seemingly overnight brought humanity into a nimble, inclusive, decisive, and intelligent digital era. In this era, automation, electronics, and information technology are at the forefront of new technological advancements, and it is now difficult to find any industry that does not utilize these technologies. Modern automation, electronics, and information technology have been integrated with emerging disciplines across various fields, making interdisciplinary collaboration one of its defining characteristics. As related disciplines continue to develop, new technical terms in automation, electronics, and information technology are constantly emerging. In literature and materials, acronyms frequently appear, and their density is increasing. To help a wide range of professionals—technicians, university faculty and students, translators, and maintenance personnel for imported equipment—correctly understand and use these acronyms, we have compiled this practical, innovative, comprehensive yet concise acronym dictionary. We have made every effort to include as many terms as possible that frequently appear in foreign publications in recent years, ensuring that the translations are standardized. The dictionary primarily covers automation, electronics, and information technology, as well as their applications in various industries and related technologies. It contains approximately 45,000 entries in total. The following individuals contributed to the compilation of this dictionary: Geng Jing, Zhang Kaiyi, Geng Ying, Yuan Chang, Yuan Kang, and Sun Sujun. Mr. Zhang Zhiyuan of the Translation Society of Nova Scotia, Canada, provided substantial materials and contributed to certain sections. This dictionary was supplemented and revised by Mr. Lin Shenzong of the Beijing Institute of Mechanical Industry Automation. We extend our gratitude to him as well. Due to the rapid development of automation, electronics, and information technology, new acronyms continue to emerge, making it challenging to include them all. Additionally, given the limitations of my expertise, errors and omissions may still exist in the book. We sincerely invite readers to point them out.
