Features: In this book, I adopt a combination of line drawing and sketching techniques. I believe this method is particularly useful for students studying art and design. The reason is that sketching techniques often rely on overly simple lines, capturing only basic impressions. Pure line drawing, on the other hand, can be too artistic or overly meticulous and rigid, making it unsuitable for the creative expression of students in art and design. Therefore, when using this technique, I always pay attention to its performance, striving to avoid overly fast strokes, which can appear slick, or overly slow ones, which can seem stiff. I aim for even pressure and smooth, flowing lines. When conveying a sense of space, I primarily rely on contrast techniques such as the (), (), (), (), (), (), and () of lines. These contradictions and contrasts are used to create the effect, while also ensuring the harmony between the beauty of the lines and the beauty of the shapes. Additionally, I include some comments and reflections on each page for reference. The publication of this book mainly aims to let students in art and design understand that consistent basic training, accumulated over time, is equally important and indispensable for every creative designer and for those learning (). If one day you can freely sketch any idea or create small sketches for design concepts, how wonderful that would be!
