Features: Do you know how hundreds of cultural elites who were stranded in the tiger's den after the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong managed to escape danger? Do you know how hundreds of democratic figures secretly left Hong Kong to attend the People's Political Consultative Conference in Beijing? To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the victory in the Anti-Japanese War, we invited Comrade Yang Qi to write and publish this book, "The Earth-Shaking Deed." This book is based on rich historical materials and details the two great feats during the Anti-Japanese War—the rescue of cultural elites from the tiger's den and the secret escort of democratic figures northward during the War of Liberation. It helps readers understand the process of the birth of New China from a unique perspective, recognize how difficult it was to establish the Republic, and thus further inspire their love for the motherland. The book is rich in content, precious in materials, credible in historical facts, detailed in narration, and touching in plot. We believe readers will have such feelings after reading it.
