Features: To meet the needs of higher vocational education, this textbook was compiled under the leadership of the Medical Higher Vocational and Technical Education Textbook Compilation and Review Committee. This establishes a pathway for associative learning that covers what to learn, how to learn, and why.
Adhering to the principle of "human-centeredness," the book incorporates nursing assessment and health education content based on traditional writing methods and the nursing process approach. Through years of teaching practice, it has been refined to highlight the principle of "what is necessary and sufficient" for students. In terms of nursing skills, it aligns with hospital procedures, incorporates modern nursing technologies, and adds content such as the use of infusion micro-pumps, intravenous catheters, and ice machines to meet the market demand for nursing talent.
The book consists of 21 chapters. Chapters 1 to 6 primarily discuss the concepts of nursing, its historical development, modern nursing theories, and related interpersonal communication and health education methods. It emphasizes the theory and application of the nursing process, laying a foundation for further learning. Chapters 7 to 21 cover basic nursing, focusing on the fundamental theories, knowledge, and skills of basic nursing. Significant improvements have been made in the chapter structure and content selection.
