A Selection of Comparative Studies on Chinese and Indian Literatures

Author: Yu Longyu
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2002-07-01
Features: This book is the first collection of comparative literary studies between China and India from this period in China. Since the mid-1980s, there have been numerous research achievements in this field, including influence studies, parallel studies, and comparative poetics, with many new works published. The editor did not arrange the selections chronologically but divided them into two main parts: Comparative Literature and Comparative Poetics. Additionally, an appendix includes the table of contents of the editor's previously compiled book, The Origins of Sino-Indian Literary Relations, which was jointly published by Hunan Literature and Art Press and Zhonghua Book Company in 1987. The book collects materials from the modern period to 1982, forming a chronological link with the present "Selected Papers."
