Features: This book is a selected collection of the educational research achievements of Professor An Wenzhu, one of the founders of the doctoral program in educational management in China and a doctoral supervisor at the School of Educational Management, Beijing Normal University. From being a doctoral supervisor at BNU to becoming a "strategist" on the grassroots level of basic education in the Pearl River Delta, Professor An made the choice he would never regret at the age of 60—to immerse himself in the real world of basic education! From educational strategy to educational decision-making, from educational management to team building, from the educational situation in China to system reform, and from educational research to thinking methods, the arguments are rigorous yet accessible, demonstrating Professor An's solid academic foundation and rich practical experience. The outstanding feature of this book is that the author, drawing from educational theory and his own experiences, reveals that the practice of basic education is an inexhaustible source for educational theoretical research. He advocates that theoretical workers should go to the grassroots, to rural areas, to the frontline of basic education, to generate, test, develop, and innovate theories through educational practice!
