Features: Poultry farming has become a widespread form of livestock production both domestically and internationally, playing a close role in agricultural economy and people's livelihood. Poultry farming generally includes raising chickens, ducks, geese, as well as exotic birds such as pigeons, quail, and pheasants. I have been engaged in teaching, research, editing, and popular science writing in the fields of animal husbandry and veterinary medicine for over 30 years, with particular expertise in the poultry industry. I was invited by Shanghai Da Jiang Co., Ltd. to conduct multiple inspections and discussions at its affiliated broiler farms, meat chicken farms, and hatcheries. Additionally, I collected a significant amount of new data on poultry farming from Thailand, Taiwan, and Shanghai Da Jiang Co., Ltd. Recently, I referenced new materials and content from magazines such as China Poultry, Poultry Industry Science and Technology, Poultry Farming and Avian Disease Prevention, Shanghai Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Communications, and Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, as well as books on poultry farming. Based on these sources, I compiled the book China Practical Poultry Farming Handbook. The content of this book is mainly divided into three parts: the Chicken Section, the Waterfowl Section, and the Exotic Poultry Section. Its features are: first, a combination of theory and practice; second, a combination of traditional and special farming methods. I believe this book will provide certain guidance and reference for China's poultry production.
