By examining and researching its formation and development from multiple, systematic, and dynamic perspectives, we aim to describe the historical process of Chinese rhetoric and explore the underlying patterns. This is the purpose behind writing this "Comprehensive History of Chinese Rhetoric." Here, we make preliminary explorations into some basic theories of the history of rhetoric, the characteristics and laws of Chinese rhetoric history, and related issues.
