Ah! All missed, young people often miss the stories of the elderly one after another, like winter-dried fruits hanging at the tips of tree branches, already too painful to lift up. What kind of great artist is a great artist in the eyes of the great artist Huang Yongyu? In this new prose collection Elderly Elders Than Me, the 80-year-old Huang Yongyu tells us the stories of the elders even older than himself. In this book with Huang's unique style, the "ghostly genius" Huang Yongyu narrates, with witty and unconventional language, the "elderly elders" he has met: Qian Zhongshu, Shen Congwen, Li Keran, Zhang Leping, Lin Fengmian, Zhang Boqiu, Xu Linlu, Liao Bingxiong, Zheng Ke, Lu Zhiyang, Yu Suoya, Huang Miaozi. These star-like names shine brightly in the cultural sky of China from the mid-to-late 20th century to the 21st century.
