Features: To strengthen the exchange and cooperation between the disciplines of Sociology and Management at Guangxi University and their peers at home and abroad, especially in Japan, the School of Social Sciences and Management at Guangxi University collaborated with the Japan ADB Economic Institute to hold the "International Academic Symposium on Social and Management Studies between China and Japan" in Nanning, China, from June 7 to June 8, 2004. Over thirty representatives attended the symposium. Although the scale of the conference was not large, it was very successful, with in-depth, lively, and harmonious academic lectures. Some authors revised their papers after returning and provided feedback to us. We are now publishing these papers in a collection.
