Can I get pregnant if I have blocked fallopian tubes with?

Patient's question:

I recently want to have a child, but I found that I have never been able to get pregnant. Then I went to the hospital for an ultrasound and discovered that it was actually because my fallopian tubes were blocked. Could this be the reason why I have never been able to get pregnant? Hello, can I still get pregnant if my fallopian tubes are blocked?

Doctor's answer:

Tubal blockage needs to be assessed based on its severity. If the blockage is caused by mild hydrosalpinx and chronic inflammation, pregnancy is possible after treatment. If the bilateral fallopian tubes are blocked due to genital tuberculosis or other inflammatory conditions, it is difficult to conceive. If the ovaries are normal, it is generally recommended to undergo in vitro fertilization. For cases where tubal tests indicate that one fallopian tube is normal while the other is partially blocked, pregnancy is usually achievable after treatment. For bilateral tubal blockage, contrast imaging is necessary to further diagnose the extent and location of the blockage.
