To meet the needs of readers, we selected a series of the most beloved foreign literary classics from the library, translated by renowned translators such as Bing Xin, Yang Jiang, Zhu Shenghao, and others. These translations, with their elegant and fluent language, recreate the style of the original works, accompanied by exquisite illustrations, and were titled the "Famous Classics with Illustrations" series. Gone with the Wind is a novel set during and after the American Civil War. Its literal translation would be "Gone with the Wind," a phrase spoken by the female protagonist Scarlett O'Hara, meaning that the war swept away her "entire world," just as the hurricane did to her family's plantation. Scarlett uses this phrase to express the sentiments of the Southern plantation owners, and the author adopts it as the title of the book, also indicating her perspective on the Civil War, which aligns perfectly with the content of the book.
