How many B scans should be done from pregnancy to delivery?

Patient's question:

An IUD is inside the body, but I want to carry this pregnancy to term. About past treatment and its effects: An ultrasound examination was performed, and the doctor checked that the Aima model IUD had fallen to the cervical opening and would not interfere with labor. I am 38 years old, and after becoming pregnant, the Aima model IUD I was wearing was still at the cervical opening and could not be removed. I am asking how to interfere with the normal growth and development of the fetus.

Doctor's answer:

The explanation for this issue is not absolute and depends on the specific circumstances of the pregnant woman. Generally speaking, at least three ultrasound examinations are required.
① The first examination is scheduled between weeks 18 and 20 of pregnancy. At this stage, it can confirm whether the pregnancy is single or multiple, and measure the fetal head circumference, among other things. Because this stage has relatively small errors in multiple ultrasound indicators of the fetus and is also convenient for verifying gestational age.
② The second examination is scheduled between weeks 28 and 30 of pregnancy. The purpose of the ultrasound at this time is to understand the fetal growth and development, identify any surface malformations, and further assess the fetal position and amniotic fluid volume.
