Features: The old house is trapped by an unexpected rodent infestation, which is strikingly similar to one that occurred fifty years ago. From then on, the atmosphere in the old house grew tense. Rats frequently appeared at night, eerie human shadows lingered like ghosts, and a severed hand preserved in formaldehyde often appeared in the cold backyard. What caused the rodent infestation? What does the reappearance of the rats signify? Who is the man with a blurred face that appeared in my bedroom? Is he connected to the old events I was investigating fifty years ago? Does the golden beetle that only moves on nights of the full moon actually exist, and where is it? By now, I had fallen in love with this melancholic, cold man. Can his desire for revenge be fulfilled? On the night before I leave the old house with a dagger soaked in yellow wine to stab his heart, a radiant golden beetle crawled out from a wall, slowly making its way out of the old house and disappearing into the night.
