Features: Heshen deeply understands the characteristics of a fox: keen sense of smell, insidious means, cunning mind, sharp intellect, greedy desires, and combines them with his exceptional intelligence to formulate a simple, practical——method of dealing with others as an "old fox." This enables him to be favored by the Qianlong Emperor for like, wield influence in and out of the court, and hold sway over administrative power, financial power, military power, and personnel power, becoming a wealthy magnate with assets rivaling the nation. Heshen is a typical "old fox" personality. Such people are popular, have smooth relationships, numerous connections, achieve success quickly, gain people when they want them, wealth when they desire it, and power when they seek it.
