Features: Food security is an important theoretical and practical issue. In January 1974, the United Nations held the World Food Conference in Rome, where the concept of food security was first proposed and the "International Agreement on World Food Security" was adopted, thus drawing widespread attention from the international community to the issue of food security. In recent years, theoretical research on food security in China has become a hot topic in the field of agricultural economic research and has produced many valuable theoretical research results. However, the systematicity and cutting-edge nature of current research on food security still need further in-depth discussion. Based on a systematic review of the current research status on food issues and an outline of the historical trajectory of China's food policies, this book combines the author's research achievements over the past decade. Starting from the essential attributes and basic characteristics of food, it conducts a relatively systematic and in-depth study on food security issues, including the basic characteristics of food, food supply and demand and their forecasting, game analysis in food markets, food security and early warning systems, and the food security assurance system.
