What should be done to alleviate abnormal menstruation after a crowd?

Patient's question:

After giving birth, my menstrual cycle is irregular, with varying intervals, dark color, and very little flow. This led to me not realizing I was pregnant until three months into the pregnancy. On February 13th of this year, I had a miscarriage, and on March 15th, I had a tiny bit of dark discharge. Up until now, I haven't had my period. Since April, I've been in a very bad mood and don't know if it will affect anything. Why haven't I had my period? Lately, I've been experiencing constant breast pain, and I don't know if it's a sign that my period is coming.

Doctor's answer:

Within 2 weeks after a miscarriage, rest and eat nutritious, easily digestible foods. Avoid heavy physical labor. Pay attention to vulvar hygiene. Avoid tub baths if vaginal bleeding has not stopped, and refrain from sexual activity for the first month.
In the first 23 days after a miscarriage, vaginal bleeding is usually equal to or slightly heavier than a normal menstrual period, lasting no more than 15 days. If bleeding persists for an extended period, is heavier than usual, or is accompanied by severe abdominal pain, it may indicate infection or incomplete miscarriage. It is recommended to undergo an ultrasound examination at the hospital.
After a miscarriage, menstruation may return quickly. Use contraception to prevent another early pregnancy.
