Features: Preface The Bilingual Dictionary of Cultural Archaeology (English-Chinese/Chinese-English) is a comprehensive bilingual reference tool. This book primarily includes terms and nomenclature related to cultural relics and archaeology, encompassing significant archaeological discoveries, archaeological sites, archaeological relics, archaeologists, archaeological schools, archaeological works, as well as important archaeological artifacts and cultural relics. The entire dictionary contains over 13,000 entries, with additional derived and compound terms bringing the total to over 30,000 entries. As a bilingual professional reference book, most entries do not include explanations, but brief introductions are provided for particularly important archaeological artifacts, relics, and figures. The translations of foreign site names, archaeological culture names, and foreign scholar names in the dictionary are based on the Manual of Translations of Foreign Place Names compiled by the Chinese Commission on Geographical Names and the Manuals of Name Translations of relevant countries. The domestic accepted translations of these three types of terms are retained in this book. The main text is supplemented with numerous illustrations of artifacts to aid readers in understanding the entries and definitions. At the end of the book, there are thirteen appendices such as Major Archaeological Discoveries in China (1898–1994), Selected Chinese Bronze Artifacts, Selected Chinese Ceramics, Chronological Table of Chinese History, and a list of major reference books.
