How to treat trichomoniasis to get better

Patient's question:

How can trichomoniasis be relieved? I've always had this condition, and medication hasn't helped either. I've had these symptoms for the past few days, and they just won't go away. It hasn't been relieved at all.

Doctor's answer:

Got trichomoniasis, which reduces the defensive ability of the vagina. After vaginal douching or at night, insert 200 mg of metronidazole into the vagina, with 10 days constituting one course of treatment. Alternatively, you can use one tablet of metronidazole or 200 mg of carbaryl inserted into the vagina. Precautions during treatment are to prevent reinfection. During the treatment period, underwear and hygiene utensils should be boiled to sterilize. Due to the high likelihood of recurrence after treatment, reexamination should be conducted 3 to 5 days after menstruation. Avoid sexual activity during treatment to prevent reinfection. If reexamination is not possible and symptoms reappear after menstruation, retreatment can be considered. For cases that do not improve with treatment, a thorough examination of the patient's and partner's urine or prostatic fluid should be conducted. If trichomonads are detected, oral liquid treatment should be administered concurrently.
