Does pelvic effusion in women cause blood streaks in leukorrhea?

Patient's question:

I haven't been feeling much lower back pain recently, and my stomach doesn't hurt noticeably either. However, I noticed today at lunch that there were a tiny amount of blood streaks in my white discharge, which is making me very worried. Besides, some nerves in my buttocks and thighs occasionally have mild pain, and the area near the vaginal opening was a bit painful a few days ago.

Doctor's answer:

Hello: Pelvic inflammatory disease is clinically characterized by lower abdominal and lumbosacral pain, sometimes accompanied by a sense of rectal fullness. It often worsens after exertion, sexual intercourse, defecation, and before or after menstruation. Symptoms may include increased leukorrhea, excessive or irregular menstruation, and may be accompanied by dysmenorrhea. Primary or secondary infertility may also occur. Diagnosis can be confirmed through physical examinations such as pelvic exams and ultrasound, followed by symptomatic treatment. Wishing the patient a speedy recovery and a healthy body and a wonderful life.
