Patient's question:
Last week, I was diagnosed with ovarian inflammation at the hospital. I want to see how to treat ovarian inflammation better. I want to go for treatment.Doctor's answer:
Ovaritis is a type of female pelvic inflammatory disease. It is caused by infection leading to inflammation of the ovaries, resulting in severe sequelae such as ovarian adhesion, tight of fallopian tubes, abscesses, and intestinal obstruction, which can cause infertility. Generally, non-specific ovarianitis is divided into acute and chronic types. Acute cases typically recur with symptoms such as fever, abdominal pain, and a sense of fullness or pressure in the rectum; while chronic cases present with general weakness, poor mental state, and menstrual disorders or abnormal menstrual flow. Treatment is primarily based on medication. During the acute phase, antibiotic therapy is administered. If there is a culture of purulent fluid or pus and drug sensitivity testing is performed, the use of antibiotics is more effective. If there is adhesion around the ovaries or ovarian and fallopian tube, surgical options such as laparotomy or laparoscopic adhesion compression surgery may be considered.
