Failure studies

Author: Gao Qian
Publisher:
Publication Date: 2002-11-01
Features: As the ancient saying goes, "Failure is the mother of success." It means that after experiencing failure, by reflecting on it, correcting errors and shortcomings, one can surely move towards success. The author, through careful observation and analysis of a series of major accidents that have occurred in Japan in recent years and their underlying social causes, combined with his many years of teaching experience, has summarized a set of methods for correctly dealing with failure and actively and systematically utilizing failure knowledge. This has given rise to a new discipline—failureology. To prevent similar or even more severe failures, the author breaks away from Japan's traditional aversion to failure, avoidance of failure, and the tendency to shy away from discussing failure, adopting a positive and entirely new attitude toward failure. This holds great reference value for Chinese journalists.
