Features: Enterprise management is an eternal theme. State-owned enterprises must strengthen internal management to achieve development. Efficiency supervision, as a comprehensive monitoring task in the process of enterprise management, is inherently consistent and unified with the goals of enterprise management. Strengthening efficiency supervision is a starting point for the work of discipline inspection and supervision to integrate into enterprise management and serve the overall development of enterprise reform and opening-up. It is beneficial not only in promoting and improving the level of enterprise management but also in preventing the loss of state-owned assets. In recent years, management personnel and discipline inspection and supervision workers of central enterprises have been enthusiastic in cultivating this fertile ground of efficiency supervision, conducting in-depth research and making arduous efforts, accumulating rich practical experience and achieving fruitful results. In November 2003, the Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council held a symposium on efficiency supervision of central enterprises in Yizheng City, Jiangsu Province. At the symposium, Huang Danhua, Member of the Commission and Head of the Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, delivered an important speech. A total of 45 central enterprises submitted research papers for discussion. These papers conducted beneficial discussions and research on the leadership system and working mechanisms for efficiency supervision under the new situation, the basic tasks and key points, the basic methods and working paths, supervision and inspection, and existing problems. They collectively reflect the research achievements of central enterprises in carrying out efficiency supervision work in recent years. The research papers from the symposium have been compiled into this book. It is hoped that this book can provide positive guidance and reference for further improving our work and promoting the development of efficiency supervision of central enterprises in the process of exploration.
