Features: The Reggio Emilia early childhood education system in Italy is an innovative achievement in the field of education, attracting attention from educators and early childhood professionals worldwide. Artistic teaching is a pioneering aspect of the Reggio Emilia approach. The Reggio philosophy, "It's not about Art!", emphasizes that the purpose of art education is not skill training but rather encouraging children to use artistic mediums to observe life, reinforce experiences, and explore the world, enabling them to fully express and represent themselves. When conceptualizing the combination picture book "Duri and Shari," creative young writers, painters, and educational researchers were brought together, along with talented composers, to complete this creation. The Early Childhood Education Consulting Center of Aibei has used "Duri and Shari" as teaching material for artistic education, launching an "Nurturing Future Designers" course in some kindergartens in Shanghai. This is the first collaboration between art and education in the field of early childhood education, expanding the interactive space between children, adults, and the environment, fostering children's social "big self" perspective, promoting exploratory learning, and enabling them to grow alongside the development of modern cities. "It's not about Art!" This is the educational philosophy and purpose behind our creative and editorial approach to this series.
