Preeclampsia or ectopic pregnancy?

Patient's question:

Urine test shows pregnancy, color Doppler ultrasound examination reveals uneven endometrial echoes, no gestational sac image observed in the uterine cavity or ectopic, no fluid or mass seen in the pelvis; vaginal bleeding for 3 days has not stopped, bright red in color, with no abdominal pain. Taking vitamin E has shown no effect. Could these symptoms be a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy?

Doctor's answer:

Hello: The detailed ultrasound examination revealed uneven endometrial echoes, and no gestational sac was observed in the intrauterine or extrauterine regions. It is questionable how this could be classified as an ectopic pregnancy. Taking vitamin E is more likely to suggest the possibility of a miscarriage. An ultrasound of the adnexa can be performed to confirm the diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy and provide active treatment. If the ectopic pregnancy is removed, it will be possible to focus on treatment for preserving the pregnancy. Wishing the patient a speedy recovery and a healthy body and a wonderful life.
