Features: During the writing process of this book, reference was made to relevant monographs and other literature published domestically and internationally. Special thanks are expressed to Professor Yang Zhiming for editing "Fundamentals and Clinical Applications of Tissue Engineering" (Chengdu: Sichuan Science and Technology Press, 2000) and the "Modern Biotechnology Series" (Beijing: Chemical Industry Press, 2002). On this basis, combined with the recent research progress in tissue engineering and its related technologies, this book provides a comprehensive and in-depth introduction to the basic content, fundamental techniques, and new developments in tissue engineering. In some chapters, progress in our own related research work is also summarized. The book comprehensively and thoroughly introduces the basic content, fundamental techniques, and new developments in tissue engineering. The entire book is divided into 2 parts, totaling 31 chapters. Part 1 includes 16 chapters, focusing on introducing the concepts, development, research content, and basic technical requirements of tissue engineering, especially providing detailed elaboration on fundamental issues in tissue engineering research, such as seed cells, biomaterials, tissue and organ reconstruction, culture, and application. Additionally, it highlights the research methods and progress in tissue engineering for skin, peripheral nerves, bone and cartilage, muscles, dental and periodontal tissues, etc. Part 2 includes 15 chapters, providing a detailed introduction to cell and tissue organ culture methods closely related to tissue engineering research, including basic culture techniques and requirements, as well as large-scale cell culture techniques. This book can serve as a textbook or reference for undergraduate, graduate, and research personnel.
