Patient's question:
How can you still have a recurrence after taking fluconazole tablets? How to treat itDoctor's answer:
For treating candidiasis, a 2%-3% soda solution can be used to rinse the external genitalia, vagina, or for sitz baths. After gently drying, place 250,000 units of nystatin suppositories deep into the vagina, or apply nystatin cream to the vaginal walls. Do this once a day or twice a day (morning and evening) for a total of 10-14 days. Approximately 50%-80% of patients can be cured. Alternatively, after rinsing or sitz bathing the external genitalia and vagina and drying, use miconazole or clotrimazole suppositories or creams twice a day for 3 days, or once a day for 7 days. Severe vaginal inflammation requires prompt treatment, and patients are advised to seek timely medical care and follow their doctor's recommendations for appropriate treatment.
